Connecting the dots.

Hi, I’m Puya. 👋

I help companies, national agencies and governments as a specialist within EV charging and interoperability. I helped build the roaming product offered to hundreds of charge point operators, helped shape the roaming protocol OCPI, and worked with stakeholders across Europe, the US, Latin America and Africa.

Beyond the EV industry, I’m also involved in a few other things, among them investing and mentoring.

About

I’ve always been a builder, and not only with Lego. As a high school student I co-founded a conference that still runs every year with hundreds of students attending. At university I ran a used-bike business while studying business law. Then I joined various startups and did a bit of everything, until one of them, Monta, scaled fast and I found what I really enjoy: building technology and infrastructure within EV charging.

At Monta I was the first hire dedicated to roaming, from OCPI integrations to drafting commercial agreements and CDR reconciliation. Today, I lead PNC Partners as well as the African Charging Alliance, helping companies and public agencies navigate e-mobility infrastructure and charging. Recent engagements include advising Circle K’s European HQ on roaming and product, supporting NetworkCore’s growth in Latin America, helping Nordic national agencies with AFIR implementation, and supporting UK investors with due diligence and market analysis. When projects requires, I bring in dedicated specialists to deliver end-to-end solutions for my clients.

Now on to some of the things I can help you with.

PNC Partners

As the founder of the consulting firm PNC Partners, I lead strategic advisory engagements in EV roaming and charging infrastructure. To support complex mandates, I collaborate with a vetted network of talented engineers and specialists. You get the right expertise for the job, with one point of contact and none of the overhead.

African Charging Alliance

I’m the co-founder and chairman of the African Charging Alliance, an independent trade association aligning market players, regulators and local experts to scale interoperable, economically sustainable EV charging across Africa. We work with governments, development agencies, companies and universities to turn ambitious electrification goals into reality.

Services

I help charge point operators (CPOs), mobility providers (eMSPs) and the companies around them with EV charging and roaming. I can support you and your company with breaking down complexity based on your requirements, regardless if you are starting from scratch, expanding your current offering, or improving it.

My goal is to help you build, operate, and grow your EV charging business for the long term.

Having the right roaming partners and the right terms is what separates a network that performs from one that doesn’t.
I help CPOs get their chargers visible and accessible across roaming hubs, navigation platforms, and EMSP apps.
For EMSPs, I help secure access to the networks your customers actually need, at competitive rates.
And for both, I make sure the commercial and technical sides are aligned – so that agreements don’t just get signed, but actually go live and work.

I have drafted and been part of red-lining 100s of contracts. I’ve advised the Nordic national agencies on AFIR implementation and data-sharing standards, including NAP. I can help you navigate AFIR and national frameworks to ensure market compliance.

Having led over 50 direct OCPI connections and hundreds more via roaming hubs (Hubject, Gireve, Enapi, E-clearing, Emobi), I understand how integrations work in practice. This goes from the technical steps, to aligning legal terms, data formats, tariff structures, and timelines.

I have been an active contributor to the EV Roaming Foundation, the organization behind the OCPI protocol. Through my participation in working groups on topics such as tariffs and heavy-duty vehicle (HDV) support, I have helped shape the evolution of OCPI and its implementation across the industry.

I am very familiar with most charge point management systems (CPMS) and can help your business navigate everything that needs to be done as you move from one backend system to another. Zero downtime for your roaming partners and your chargers.

I join projects, sprints, and cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks and improve operational processes – ensuring that you can scale your roaming operations efficiently. This includes everything from partner onboarding flows and tariff management to support escalation paths and internal documentation. I
can step in as an operational extension of your team: managing roaming agreements end-to-end, from drafting and reviewing contracts to onboarding partners, maintaining connections, and handling the day-to-day complexity that comes with running a roaming operation.

Beyond EV charging

Outside of my consulting work within EV charging and roaming, I enjoy being involved in my community, investing, and providing early-stage venture advisory.

Are you looking for a speaker, panelist or moderator for your event? Maybe I can help out! My experience ranges from being an MC at internal corporate events with hundreds of employees, to moderating international panels and speaking at major industry conferences across Europe and Africa.

I advise and invest in early-stage tech startups. I’m most useful on go-to-market, operations and strategy. I am pretty hand-on and have in the past also helped out with drafting legal contracts (like vesting programs for employees and customer agreements).

I’m working with some amazing students at Malmö Borgarskola to collect books and toys and give them to children’s hospitals and newly arrived immigrant families in the region.

I mentor a handful students from my alma mater, focusing on career growth and personal development.

I’m active in the effective altruism community, which is about using evidence to do the most good you can. If you’re thinking about where to give, GiveWell is a great place to start.
